Dr Rajesh Krishnamoorthy is a leading consultant gastroenterologist specialising in indigestion (dyspepsia), acid reflux, bowel cancer and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He is also expertly trained and regularly performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy (gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy).
After graduating from Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, India in 1998, he received specialist gastroenterology and general medical training in the Midlands, UK. In 2014, he was appointed as a consultant gastroenterologist at the Royal Derby Hospital. He completed his master's degree in clinical nutrition from the University of Roehampton where he worked on nutrient consumption, food-related quality of life factors and food intolerances in IBD. In 2018 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London.
In addition to his consultancy work, Dr Krishnamoorthy is an accredited trainer in endoscopy. He has regular training lists in endoscopy to support trainees who wish to learn more about endoscopy.
